FACELIFT

A facelift addresses common signs of midface and lower-face aging. These include loose facial skin, sunken cheeks, wrinkled and sagging neck skin, wrinkles and age lines, and an undefined jawline.

People usually get a facelift because they feel self-conscious about how they look. They come in for the procedure because they feel like they have to keep wearing scarves and turtlenecks to conceal their aging neck. They may also feel that their aging appearance has become detrimental to their personal relationships or career.

We offer full and limited-incision facelifts. A full facelift targets the mid and lower thirds of the face. Incisions will be made along the hairline, under the chin, and around the ears. A limited-incision facelift will involve incisions along the ears and hairline without touching the chin. This technique requires less downtime and produces subtler results.

After making the incisions, the skin is then separated from the connective muscles and tissues. These tissues are repositioned to make the skin look firmer and to address the jowls. The excess skin is removed, and the rest of the skin is redraped over the repositioned tissues. Patients have smoother and firmer facial skin as a result.

BROW LIFT & FOREHEAD LIFT

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is performed to raise the brows after they sag due to aging. The lower the brows, the more tired, sad, or angry you look. The higher your brows get lifted, the more refreshed you look.

People also choose a brow lift to reduce wrinkle lines occurring horizontally across the forehead and vertically between the eyes. This rejuvenates the face, reducing the appearance of stress and fatigue.

A brow lift can be performed in various ways. A classic brow lift involves a single long incision at or near the hairline. This stretches from one ear to the other ear. An endoscopic brow lift entails making three to five much smaller incisions. An endoscope is inserted into these incisions for a magnified view. A temporal lift is more scaled-back than an endoscopic brow lift but still provides excellent results with minimal downtime.

Dr. Francesco Gargano has extensively trained around the world and is committed to healing through individualized care. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Dr. Gargano received his medical degree from the Sapienza University of Rome in Italy, graduating magna cum laude. He continued his education at Sapienza University where he earned his PhD in Plastic Surgery, Human Anatomy and Dermatology, and completed his first residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
